Barcelona (Multilingual version)- part 1

Hej, Elise! Terve, Tiina!- Hola, chicas picantes!
Ciao , amici italiani!
Hello, my English-speaking friends!
A ahoj všetkým čo rozumejú mojej rodnej slovenčine!

"It's going to be legendary!" we said one week ago when were just about to leave for Barcelona. (a páni, bolo, áno!!!)
Vores tour til Barcelona var fantastisk!
Matkamme Barcelonan oli mahtava!
Barcelona & Roma

And my father told me: "Barcelona may actually be a perfect place to live in." I do understand now. I will show you why.

I think we needed to get out of Rome for a while. It had been raining all the week, there was a lot of water on the streets, traffic was terrible and the atmosphere tense and kind of gloomy. I fact I kept listening to the Maroon 5 song: The city made us crazy and we must get out…
For few days we were alone. Maybe we were dreaming of something that wouldn't come true, maybe foolishly hoping for something we couldn't have (or at least not right now).
Maminka mala zas pravdu: priveľa rozmýšľania škodí.
We tried to be positive (We are in Rome, aren't we?- Tranquillo! Ota pauhallisesti! Tag det roligt!) but maybe we just needed sunshine. And presence of friends.

A tak sme sa stretli v Barcelone. Ja a Elise sme prišli z Girony a Tiina z Grazu.
In Barcelona there wasn't even a sign of clouds, the sky was clear and sun was shining happily on us. We had to smile.
It was cold though. I haven't expected it to be that cold.
Our hostel was in the very centre, in Rambla (boulevard full of dancers, musicians, human statues and card sharps) near Placa Catalunya and Port Vell. The location was really ideal. But...There were actually some details to be improved: no heating, staff constantly so high that sometimes they just kept staring at us blankly and we got almost wasted from the smell of weed, common bathrooms. But what would you expect for 10 euro per night breakfast included?
And it was a part of adventure☺

So we reduced the stay in our hostel to the minimum and started to explore Barcelona:

Gothic Barcelona
Barcelona was founded by Romans (of course) and they called it Barcino.
On the right side of Rambla there is a beautiful Gothic quarter and so we took advantage of free guided tour to see its charms.
Sprievodkyňa bola mladá kočka ktorej sa zázrakom podarilo vstať v sobotu ráno pred desiatou, zjavne podcenila počasie (a tiež mi závidela rukavice☺ ), zato podala skvelý výklad a fakt sa snažila pomôcť a poradiť.
And so we were walking down the narrow streets, from church to church, passing markets, caffeterias and magnificient Cathedral.
She was speaking about the fight of indipenendence of Catalonia, about autonomy
and politics, about language (Catalanian is linguistically more like Provensal than like Spanish) and about how general Franco changed all the street names to fit him (now in Catalanian again)
Barcelona & Architecture
Being in Barcelona with two eager architecture students is an experience I honestly recommend to everyone. Taking a tour through the evolution in architecture in a city that preserves unique examples of almost every style and every age is breathtaking and full of surprises.
And so Tiina and Elise showed me all from Gaudí's classics to miracles of modern age.
A nová veža Torre Agbar v centre nám myslím všetkým pripomínala len jednu vec☺ .
